Photo from Hewitt-Trussville Athletics The 5K race was held at the Gateway Cross Country Course in Montgomery as part of the 2021 All-Star Sports Week. The annual event features competition across 11 sports for rising high school seniors in Alabama. A total of 10 Tribune-area athletes participated in this year’s action. Maci Mills, of Hewitt-Trussville, took the track in girls’ cross country play. After helping the Huskies to a Class 7A indoor state championship and outdoor runner-up finish last season, Mills stopped the clock at 21:02.59 on Wednesday in Montgomery.
