Kashmiris strive for un-sponsored plebiscite, not autonomy: Masood
Islamabad, February 22, 2021 (PPI-OT): The AJK President Sardar Masood Khan while welcoming the statement of two UN special rapporteurs about the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir has unequivocally stated that the Jammu and Kashmir conflict had nothing to do with autonomy nor is it the issue of the rights of minorities.
“Kashmir is not about “autonomy” or “rights of minorities”. Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed state whose people have yet to decide their future. It is a Muslim majority state, but not part of India. We, however, welcome the statement of UN Special Rapporteurs on Kashmir situation,” he asserted.
AJK has potential to become a silicon valley of Pakistan: Masood Khan
Islamabad, February 10, 2021 (PPI-OT): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan has highly appreciated the Akhuwat Foundation’s welfare projects that aim to alleviate poverty and improve health and education for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the country.
He said this after a briefing given to him by a senior member of the Board of Directors of Akhuwat Foundation Pakistan, Mohammad Salim Ahmed Ranjha here on Wednesday. The President said that AJK will fully cooperate with the Akhuwat Foundation in its endeavour to combat hunger, alleviate poverty and improve the health and education sector in AJK.
Use of digital media vital to counter Indian lies: AJK President
Islamabad, January 21, 2021 (PPI-OT): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan has said that the nation will have to rise above all political, factional and personal interests, in order to effectively and vociferously present Kashmir issue before the international community. He urged the youth to use the digital space to counter India’s false propaganda considering it their national obligation.
The AJK President made these remarks while addressing the Re-launching Ceremony of the Digital Component of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement-International (JKSDMI), co-organized by Youth Parliament Pakistan and Pak Affairs. The event was also addressed by Mr Shehryar Afridi, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir and Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman JKSDMI.
