Authorities in China issued threats of a long prison sentence and loss of property to Christians charged with “illegal business operations” for printing devotional materials intended only for their church, their attorney said.

The authorities are implementing an emergency plan to combat the pollution, preventing it from reaching the beach. The Environment Authority confirmed that the source of the pollution is still unknown and that the procedures for the investigation are still ongoing and it is hoped that all the measures taken will contribute to reducing this pollution despite the technical challenges that may accompany the implementation.

For the past three years, my colleagues and I at Shareable have had the privilege to work with a team of journalists, audio producers, graphic artists, filmmakers, and several organizations to explore how communities are building collective resilience in the wake of disasters, through our documentary and podcast series The Response.
