An hour so it s all relative. therefore, it s not like you re trying to hit a bullet with a bullet. they will move it in slowly so it s a matter of being relative to speed. they ll move in as slowly as they can but they have to move in at least fast enough for the docking mechanism to work. some of them newer systems use the station arm that reaches out and grabs the craft and brings it back in. the russians have been very insist tant on using the automatic docking system. it never has worked well. this brings up the fact we re now we re dependent on the russians for cargo and crews starting next january or february, our last shuttle launch. so it s another reason for us to reconsider retiring the shuttle and letting the russians take over the space station. is there any danger to satellites, homer? well, probably not. ....
