Suspect Charged In Deadly Muskogee Shooting; Vigil Planned For Victims
Jarron Pridgeon, the man accused of shooting 7 people and killing 6 of them, has been charged with 8 felonies, including first-degree murder.
Muskogee Police say Jarron Pridgeon is accused of shooting his own brother and 5 children and what police are calling a mass murder. The Muskogee County District Attorney has now filed eight felony charges against Pridgeon.

In a press conference Wednesday morning, police say Pridgeon is the one who called 911, asking that EMS be sent to the house.
Pridgeon made his initial appearance in court Wednesday afternoon where a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.

MUSKOGEE â The Muskogee Medical Foundation is once again hosting their annual Christmas dinner at noon on Christmas Day at the Muskogee Civic Center.
In an effort to help keep the community safe, this yearâs event will be a drive-thru, and a walk-up area will also be available.
Traffic will enter on Fourth Street â either from Okmulgee or Columbus â and the line up will be a two-lane, one-way flow down Boston Street in front of the Civic Center. Traffic will exit on Fifth Street.
Originally started in 2012 to benefit the Gospel Rescue Mission residents, the event was moved the very next year to the Frisco Depot to accommodate anyone who wanted to attend. In 2015, it was renamed âMomma Câs Soul Food Christmas Dinnerâ in honor of the late Cassandra Gaines. This year will be the third year at the Muskogee Civic Center.
