Kahrs betonte, dass sich Hamburg zu einem «touristischen Hotspot» entwickelt habe, «in dem Gästen neben Reeperbahn und Musicals weitere Attraktionen geboten werden». Er mahnte die Tourismusbranche, nicht lockerzulassen im Engagement, «die wichtigen Themen voranzubringen, nachdem die Finanzierung sichergestellt wurde». Für ein neues naturhistorisches Museum, dass sich ausschließlich der Naturkunde widmet, sieht Kahrs wenig Chancen. Da brauche es im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung eher noch ein «Hollywood-Studio» drumherum.
