Of Spirit’s 135,102 scheduled flights, 2,964 were canceled, or 2.19 percent, up from 1.75 percent of flights in 2019. All airlines saw an increase in cancelations, likely a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused significant changes in airline schedules and operations. Allegiant Air had the highest percentage of canceled flights, canceling 14,296 of its 98,489 planned flights, or 14.52 percent, up from less than one percent the year before. ....
