Friends of a school teacher who was bitten in the leg by a shark while surfing off South Australia's Eyre Peninsula have said he is lucky to have survived.
Murray Adams, a teacher at nearby Elliston Area School, was attacked as he surfed at Blackspoint on Eyre Peninsula, 650km west of Adelaide, around 1pm on Tuesday.
