Murfreesboro Emergency Communications Center Employee Receives Prestigious Professional Designation

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Emergency Communications Center (MECC) Communications Supervisor Tiffany Matthews receives the Emergency Number Professionals (ENP) Certification, becoming one of only eight in Rutherford County to attain the prestigious professional designation.
Matthews was notified that she received the ENP Certification in March 2024.  Matthew is a leader among her peers with more than 13 years of emergency communications experience.

Man Killed Wednesday Night After Jumping Into S. Church St. Traffic

(MURFREESBORO)  A pedestrian was hit and killed while darting into South Church Street traffic around 10:25PM Wednesday (8/30/2023)  night. 
The preliminary investigation shows the driver of a 2019 Ford F150 was traveling outbound near the 2900 block of S. Church Street when the man walking inbound was struck in the middle lane.  The unidentified man, wearing dark clothing and shoes, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Murfreesboro Emergency Communications Center Employee Receives Prestigious Professional Designation

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. –  Murfreesboro Emergency Communications Center (MECC) Communications Specialist II Jeffery Harter receives the Emergency Number Professionals (ENP) Certification, becoming one of only seven in Rutherford County to attain the prestigious professional designation.
 
Harter was notified he received the ENP Certification in April 2023.  Harter is a one-year MECC employee with more than 17 years emergency communications experience.
