Foggy out there this morning. A Death Investigation underway in northeast nebraska. Law enforcement officials are investigating a suspicious death the discovery came after a vehicle fire. Shortly after 3 oclock, yesterday afternoon, pierce fire and rescue responded to a vehicle on fire nine miles west of pierce. Firefighters with the Pierce Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire, and saw human remains in the cab of the pickup. The Nebraska State Patrol and state Fire Marshalls Office were called to investigate. A state patrol lieutenant said that the pickup was in the middle of a field and they believe human remains were inside the smoldering vehicle.
