In spite of the global COVID 19 pandemic which paralysed the economy, polity and all other sectors, the FCT Administration was able to train over 1,090 teachers and some non teaching staff of the Education Secretariat in 2020. This was disclosed by Mallam Leramoh Adbulrazaq, Acting Secretary and Director of Administration and Finance, FCT Education Secretariat, at a briefing/ media luncheon, in Abuja. Abdulrazaq, who said the training was in diverse fields of education, added that 300 teachers were trained on general teaching methods and classroom management, while 250 teaching and non teaching staff were trained on global digital skills. He equally added that 150 teachers were trained for primary and junior secondary schools on family life HIV Education, in collaboration with UNESCO.
