Munawar Faruqui INDORE: Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and four others were arrested in Indore on Friday night for allegedly making indecent remarks at Hindu deities, the Godhra tragedy and Union home minister Amit Shah during a show at a café in the popular Chhappan Dukan area. Munawar and others were produced before a court on Saturday and sent to jail for 15 days. There were rumours of a crowd attacking them after a video went viral, showing a couple of men beating a youngster who is sandwiched between two cops on a motorcycle. Police denied any of the suspects were beaten, and said the youth in the video is a “friend of the accused”. ....
