Insecurity: Buhari overwhelmed, needs help, says Saraki

Immediate-past Senate President, Bukola Saraki, says the worsening security in the country has overwhelmed President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that the President and his All Progressives Congress regime needs urgent help and must seek such.
Saraki, in a statement on Tuesday, lamented the multiple attacks on lives and properties in the country on Monday which claimed at least 15 cops and five soldiers, as well as the killing of abducted students of Greenfield University in Kaduna, adding that the situation “cannot continue” and “cannot become Nigeria’s new normal”.
The chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party said, “It is obvious that President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress government need help. They have been overwhelmed by the situation and they sure need assistance from all. Thus, I urge Mr. President to seek help wherever it can be given. The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, took another swipe at the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, on Sunday, saying that Nigeria’s troubles were growing by the day while the nation’s leadership paid deaf ears to warnings of an impending disaster in the country.
He said issues associated with insecurity, separatist agitation and poverty would have to be addressed in order to avert Nigeria’s date with destiny.
Kukah stated this in his Easter message titled: ‘Nigeria: Before Our Glory Departs’, which was made available to journalists by the National Director, Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Padre Mike Umoh, in Abuja. ....
