ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Philippine Army paraded on Wednesday, December 6, a dozen Abu Sayyaf fighters who surrendered following the death of a senior pro-ISIS leader and bombmaker in the southern Muslim province of Basilan, officials said.

Sawadjaan, who had perpetrated several atrocities including suicide bombings, was intercepted while attempting to leave for Sulu. The neutralization of Sawadjaan brings justice to the hundreds of victims of his atrocities. Joint Task Force (JTF)-Orion and 101st Infantry Brigade are commended for their relentless efforts in keeping Basilan peaceful and safe.
