Canton Central shifts to remote learning due to COVID case among bus drivers

CANTON Canton Central has shifted to remote learning after several members of its transportation department were ordered to quarantine following a positive COVID-19 test among its staff.
“This morning we were notified that a member of our transportation team has tested positive for COVID-19,” CCS officials said in a statement on the district Facebook page. “Contact tracing is now complete.”
As a result of this case and quarantines from yesterday, almost half of the district’s transportation department is now unable to report to work.
“As a result, we will transition to fully remote instruction through next Monday, March 8, 2021. It is anticipated that we will return to in-person instruction on Tuesday, March 9, 2021,” officials aid. ....
