But last night, donald trump accepted the republican nomination for president with a speech on lawlessness, terror, and economic decline. Speaking for an hour and 15 minutes, trump delivered the longest Convention Speech of a president ial nominee since at least 1972. The billionaire promised to champion america, with a heavy emphasis on containing crime and curbing foreign threats. And he pledged to reposition americas standing in the world, fighting for what he dubbed the forgotten men and women of our country.
