Stakeholders advise govt to improve teachers' welfare – Punch Newspapers

Stakeholders in the education sector have said the education system will experience reform if adequate attention is paid to the welfare of teachers.
On Thursday, issues around teachers were discussed at the Save Education in Nigeria Dialogue zoom meeting which was organised by Concerned Parents Educators Initiative.
The event titled, ‘Preparing Teachers for Education Reform’ was an initiative of the CEO of Edumark Consult, Mrs Yinka Ogunde.
At the meeting, Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, admitted that problems abounded in the education sector.
She, however, suggested that it was more productive to always approach these challenges from the point of solution. ....

Daily Trust - How Nigeria's first indigenous 4G phone will survive


The Director-General of the ITF, Joseph Ari, who launched the phone, dubbed, “ITF Mobile” at the 12th National Council on Industry, Trade and Investment held in Abuja recently, said the organisation had been in the process of trade-marking and certifying the phone with the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo and Ambassador Mariam Katagum, received the made-in-Nigeria smart-phone for onward transmission to President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
In an interview in his office, Ari said the homegrown technology was produced under the supervision of the training manager, Mrs Yinka Shodunke. ....
