Political parties in Western Australia have splashed more than $200,000 on social media advertising in the three months leading into the election, with the underdog Liberals accounting for close to half the spend.
The Liberals say they want to have election advertisements with a positive spin, but Labor is taking no chances as it simultaneously runs a presidential-style campaign centred on Premier Mark McGowan whilst launching several negative attacks against Opposition Leader Zak Kirkup and his party.

Mags Harvey, who runs Harvey Electrical Services with her husband Karl, wanted to give something back to St Teresa s Hospice to say thank you for the way her mother was looked after in her final days. Mrs Harvey says her mother Joyce Vance found comfort in the inpatient unit after losing the will to live in the wake of her husband Eric’s death.
