The Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Bisi Fayemi, has said it might be difficult for a female president to emerge in Nigeria anytime soon owing to the country’s hostile political system.
Mrs Fayemi, however, added that the country is ripe enough to be governed by a female President because of the vast women resources at its disposal, reiterating that the operating system might impede this from being realised now.

The wife of Ekiti State governor, Bisi Fayemi, has warned government workers against sexual harassment.
Newsmen report that Mrs Fayemi condemned the act on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti at a special Public Service programme in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
She explained that dress codes in Civil Service should be for both gender and indecent dressing should not be accepted as the basis for sexual harassment.
She added: “Public service is an institution guided by rules and regulations and as such, deliberate efforts are put in place for public servants to appreciate the essence of service with dignity.
“The fact that Ekiti State promotes issues relating to gender equality, empowerment for the girl-child and women via necessary legislation, enforcement, advocacy, enlightenment and support for victims of gender-based violence cannot be controverted.” ....

Wives of the governors of Lagos and Ekiti states, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and Bisi Fayemi, respectively, on Friday, welcomed and presented gifts to babies born on New Year’s Day in their states.
Sanwo-Olu welcomed the babies in four state-owned health facilities, namely Mushin General Hospital, Alimosho General Hospital, Orile Agege General Hospital and Ayinke House, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.
According to a statement, baby Amao, a male who weighed 3kg and wad given birth to at exactly 12:01am by Mrs Tomilola Amao, was the first baby of the year at Mushin General Hospital. ....
