HEARTFELT tributes have been paid to a dad who died after falling from his electric bike while swerving to avoid a cat. Dad-of-two Spencer Davenport, 50, of Canvey died due to serious injuries after the incident in Gafzelle Drive, Canvey. His emotional mother paid tributes to her “popular” son. Pauline Davenport, 72, of Canvey said: “He was riding his bike along Gafzelle Drive and a cat ran out and he swerved to miss it and he fell and crashed his head. “He was constantly on his bike and was quite an experienced rider.
