Punch Newspapers Sections Federal University of Oye-Ekiti has suspended its Bursar, Mrs Bolatito Akande, over alleged misconduct. Special Adviser on Media Matters to the Vice-Chancellor, Mr Wole Balogun, confirmed the suspension in a statement issued on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti. Balogun said the bursar was suspended by the university’s Governing Council, chaired by Dr Mohammed Yahuza, to give room for a thorough investigation into the misconducts allegedly committed by Akande. He, however, denied the allegation that Akande was prevented from entering her office, saying that all the security men deployed were at the institution’s gate and could not have stopped her from entering her office. ....

Few days after the Registrar of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Mr. Olatunbosun Odusanya was sacked, the Bursar of the institution, Mrs Bolatito Akande, has accused the management of the university of using security agencies to chase and harass her after being ‘illegally’ suspended. Akande who was until Wednesday, 7th May 2021, the Bursar of the University, lamented how the security agencies deployed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abayomi Fashina, last Thursday prevented her from entering her office despite not being found culpable of any offence. Odusanya, the immediate past Registrar, was last week sacked by the Governing Council over alleged gross misconduct. ....
