EKITI State Government on Tuesday night signed the minimum wage agreement with the organised labour with a clause to begin implementation in January 2021.
The agreement was signed by the Head of Service, Mrs Peju Babafemi and other from government and labour sides.
The document is titled ‘Agreement reached between the Ekiti State Government and the organised labour on the implementation of minimum wage and consequential adjustment for core civil service, local government service and health workers on 5th January, 2021’.
In addition to the workers on Grade Levels 01 – 07 who have been enjoying the minimum wage in the state since October 2019, the two sides agreed to adjust the salary of officers in the civil service and health workers.
