Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Chhindwara to attend the last rites of Indian Air Force soldier Corporal Vikky Pahade, who lost his life in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. CM Yadav announced that the state government would seek Election Commission approval to grant Rs 1 crore as assistance to Pahade s family. He also expressed pride in Pahade s sacrifice and assured support for his son s future. The CM instructed officials to consider installing a statue, monument, or naming a ward in the district after Pahade.
The chief minister also accused the Congress of raising the bogie of violence post the abrogation of the article that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said, "If God wishes, Akhand Bharat will be formed again. not only up to Sindh or Punjab but even Afghanistan.”
