Michelle Young, a 27-year-old elementary-school teacher from Edina, didn t win Matt James heart on the final episode of
The Bachelor that aired Monday night on ABC, but she did wind up being selected as a future lead for an upcoming season of
The Bachelorette.
Young, who was an all-state basketball star at Woodbury High School before going on to play college basketball in Chicago, was the runner-up to Rachael Kirkconnell on Matt James season, which didn t end with roses for the first Black bachelor in the show s history.
Loring Park Art Festival being held last weekend of July
The pandemic canceled last year s festival.

The two-day festival, scheduled for July 31 and Aug. 1 in Minneapolis Loring Park, will feature a lineup of 140 juried artists. “The safety of our guests, artists and partners is paramount,” Pat Parnow, who founded the festival in 1999, said in a statement. “We are working closely within the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the State of Minnesota, and we are strategizing and sharing best practices with art festival leaders locally and nationally. Our message for today is: ‘Mark your calendars for the weekend of July 31 and August 1.’”

She is the first member of the 2021 Hall of Fame Class.

Wrestling legend Molly Holly, aka Minnesota s Nora Benshoof, has been named as the latest inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame.
Holly, a native of Forest Lake, is the first announced inductee in the 2021 Hall of Fame class, WWE confirmed on Wednesday morning.
Holly, 43, got her start on the independent circuit in the late 90s and had a brief spell with WCW, but rose to prominence in WWE as one of the Holly Cousins alongside Hardcore Bob Holly and Crash Holly.
