Ginny and Georgia: A Parallel to Gilmore Girls with a Bleak Undertone

May 20, 2021 at 7:00 AM
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ- Netflix’s “Ginny and Georgia” provided a sense of familiarity to many fans because of its similarity to “Gilmore Girls” (2000-2007). Additionally, both shows center around a strong mother and daughter dynamic with a small age gap.
Although the shows are set up in the same format, “Ginny and Georgia” moves a lot further into topics that Gilmore Girls would normally stray from, providing a more modern perspective.
After the sudden death of her husband, Georgia moves to Welsbury, Massachusetts. This uproots the lives of her two children, 15-year-old Ginny and 9-year-old Austin, portrayed by Antonia Gentry and Diesel La Torraca respectively. ....

May 12, 2021 at 2:53 PM
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ- Women’s history month was first celebrated in 1911 in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland by men and women who campaigned for women’s rights.
