　　“在做机械操作手前，我就是红庙岭村的农民。当时告别了脸朝黄土背朝天的日子，心想当环卫工人不仅有一份工资，而且还是技术活，心里还挺美的。”郑贞良说，然而才工作几天，垃圾场的工作环境就给他来了个“下马威”。
　　“推土机开了两天，宽厚的履带被垃圾塞满无法前行，需要下车用铁耙清理。”郑贞良说，即使戴着厚厚的口罩，垃圾场浓烈的臭味还是扑鼻而来，没耙几下，就被熏得恶心呕吐。那时他常常吐了再耙、耙了再吐，倒胃口吃不下饭，没半个月，人就瘦了一圈。

　　“那时我很彷徨，一想到一辈子都要在这样的环境下工作，心里也打起了退堂鼓。”郑贞良说。
