Lemuel Harrison Kitchens was born June 23, 1930 in Oak Creek, Colorado to Richard and Myrtle (Fiske) Kitchens. He passed away January 31, 2022 at Mountain View Healthcare in Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 91. Lem was previously married and to that union 5 children were born, Debbie, Gail, Christina, Lem Jr. and Viola. He was united in marriage to Barbara Hague on November 17, 1979 and they enjoyed over 42 years together. He was baptized at a young age and attended the Summersville Christian Church as long as his health permitted. Lem served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. When he was younger he worked in the log woods then went on to drive a truck for many years before becoming disabled in 1982. Lem was very well known for his artistic abilities. He made many masterpieces out of leather including several saddles. He was also wonderful with oil paintings and in his younger years he loved to play the guitar and sing. COVID-19 outbreaks reported in local nursing homes as cases surge in Santa Clara County

Two Mountain View nursing homes have experienced large outbreaks as COVID has surged in the state.
State and county public health officials are reporting COVID-19 outbreaks at several local nursing homes over the last month, including two in Mountain View, as infection rates reach record-breaking levels across California.
Cases in long-term care facilities, home to some of the most vulnerable residents at highest risk of serious illness and death, have shot up 66.3% since the beginning of November, reaching 2,771 cases as of Dec. 16. The largest share of those cases have been in skilled nursing facilities. ....
