I remember many times, growing up in the midwest, coming to colorado and know when youre almost there when you start to the distance. K in you can see it a hundred or more and it seems here, to pull you in as youre coming west. Now, we are at Crystal Reservoir on the pikes peak highway. We are about 9500 feet in and perhaps one of the best views in the world. Issue and protesters are expected. Reporter San Francisco police chief has been advocating for the use of tasers for his officers for quite some time. They wont be used in every situation. They are a less lethal force option. There is some opposition to this a vote. I want you to see just across the way moments ago these are demonstrators who plan to make their voices heard before the vote in an hour. They believe that the use of tasers will be used disproportionately on people of color the homeless and the mentally ill. They are very worried about officers getting tasers into their hands. The chief said if this is passed rules and training will be put into place to make sure tasers are used property. Chief scot since he was sworn in as push to get tasers into the department. He believes it will reduce serious injuries to officers as well as the people they are trying to take into custody. Tasers is one option. Not to be used in every situation.
