CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Despite many holiday celebrations around the Lowcountry being canceled due to the pandemic, the show still went on for others Sunday.
The annual Mount Pleasant parade had fewer participants, organizers asked people to wear masks, put out social distancing signs, and streamed the event online.
“We had no hand-to-hand contact between participants and spectators this year which people are used to getting lots of candy and stuff handed to them,” Mount Pleasant Special Events Manager Nicole Harvey said.
