Motorcyle Memories exhibit coincides with Steel Horse Rally

To coincide with the 2021 Steel Horse Rally, the Fort Smith Museum of History will display “Motorcycle Memories,” an exhibition designed to explore the motorcycle culture of our local and regional areas. The exhibit will be in place through May 31 at the Fort Smith Museum of History, 320 Rogers Ave.
The exhibition, which was first presented in 2008, features vintage motorcycles and photographs exploring the “art of the motorcycle” in Fort Smith and the region from the 1940s through the present day. Fort Smith has a historical association with motorcycle culture. Learn about the people and places that put the region on the map for motorcyclists. ....

Magazine School District holds reverse career fair for students

At a typical job fair, businesses set up booths and wait for people to approach them. At the reverse job fair, the students set up booths and waited for the businesses to approach them, Magazine Superintendent Beth Shumate said. 
The businesses were also able to review the students profiles before the fair to know which students they were most interested in seeing. 
Many of the 37 students who participated got more than one job offer, Shumate said. About 50 businesses attended the fair, Principal Blake Beggs.  
The school district partnered with Western Arkansas Workforce and the South Logan County Chamber of Commerce to put on the event.  ....
