a cutter has made its way to the yacht and at least two of the injured have been moved to a smaller ship. i want to go now by telephone to coast guard petty officer caleb critchfield. sir, thank you very much. were you able to get help out? yes, we were. the coast guard cutter is on scene. they deployed their small response boat to go out to the yacht, and we were able to recover two of the injured people and get them on board the small boat. okay. so they are on scene right now as you and i are speaking rescuing these people, correct? yes. okay. the entire crew won t be taken off at first. you said only the injured. there are three injured. you are getting two off first. are we to assume these are the people more seriously injured? yes. i think it would be safe to assume that. i m not sure what the plan is. i think that they are trying to get the two people off the small boat on to the helo and will be flying back to the san francisco airport where the coast ....

yes, 6:00 a.m. in atlanta, georgia. let s get you caught up on the headlines of the day. one of three american students arrested in egypt says they were hit repeatedly just after their arrest, but the news and the good news certainly for their families, you re seeing the pictures there, all three are now back on american soil. the last of them got back just a few hours ago. they were accused of throwing molotov cocktails during anti-government protests in tahrir square. we ll hear from them in a few minutes. nato saying it s highly likely that they carried out air strikes that killed 24 pakistani soldiers near the border with afghanistan. this incident has led to strong protests by the pakistani government, plus the closing of key nato supply routes in afghanistan. pakistan is also telling the u.s. that they have two weeks to leave an air base there that s used for drones. they said the same thing just after the raid that killed osama bin laden. we ll have a live repo ....

with all that talk about the 999 plan last night, kyra. i thought it was the plug for the 9:00 show. no, you could probably read the thought bubble coming out of mitt romney s head last night. he was basically saying i could get used to this because so much of the attention at this debate was focused on herman cain, the former ceo of godfather s pizza. probably felt like one of his own pizza because his rivals that table were turning up the heat. jobs, jobs, jobs. herman cain find out what happens to candidates who shoot up in the polls. they become big targets. when you take the 999 plan and you turn it upside down, i think the devil s in the details. cain s economic plan and sets rates at 9%. also create a new 9% national sales tax. if i think it s a catchy phrase. in fact, i thought it was the price of a pizza when i first heard about it. here s what we need. we need something that is doable, doable, doable. it will pass. it s not the price of a pizza. ....
