A man in Rajkot, Gujarat, allegedly murdered a 70-year-old man after the latter demanded sexual favours from his wife. The incident took place in Virnagar village of Jasdan taluka, Rajkot. The case came to light when the deceased was found at his farm on Friday. The case was solved on Wednesday. The accused was identified as Sanjay alias Pratap alias Pravi Chorodia. A resident of Mota Dadva village in Gondal taluka, the accused allegedly murdered Shanker Vekaria. Reportedly, the 70-year-old man had been demanding sexual favours from Sanjay’s wife. On some of the occasions, Vekaria had even forcefully held Sanjay’s wife. When Sanjay learned about the elderly man’s intentions, he took the decision of murdering him. ....
Representative image RAJKOT: The mystery behind the death of a 70-year-old man whose body was found on his farm in Virnagar village of Jasdan taluka of Rajkot on Friday last was solved on Wednesday. Police arrested Sanjay alias Pratap alias Pravi Chorodia (28), a native of Mota Dadva village in Gondal taluka of Rajkot, for the murder of Shanker Vekaria, a resident of Virnagar village. Chorodia used to work as a farm labourer on Vekaria’s farm with his wife. According to police, Chorodia killed Vekaria as the latter was demanding sexual favours from his wife. At couple of occasions, Vekaria had forcefully held Chorodia’s wife. When Chorodia’s wife told him about intentions of the old man, he decided to bump him off, said police. ....
Prabha Bhuva SURAT: A 63-year-old brain dead woman has injected new life into three patients who received her organs and gave eyesight to two others. Prabha Bhuva, who lived in Shantivan Society in Varachha of Surat, suddenly collapsed while returning home after attending a religious sermon on February 1. She was referred to Venus Hospital for further treatment where doctors detected brain haemorrhage. On Tuesday, medical experts declared her brain dead. Hospital’s resident medical officer (RMO) Dr. Kalpna Savani informed Donate life, an NGO which works to create awareness about cadaver donation. “We immediately reached the hospital and met her family members.
