I am currently a Marine 81 mm mortar platoon commander in 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment at Camp Lejeune, N.C. When the mortar trooper came off the landing craft, I excitedly pointed and exclaimed to my girlfriend, “Babe! The Stormtrooper has a mortar!
