RAHWAY – Jennea Workman s life was moving in the right direction, and she was happy. Workman, 24, a licensed phlebotomist, had a job and a car, was in her first semester in nursing school and had just gotten her first apartment. She was definitely in a good space. When she got her apartment, she was so happy. She would get on her hands and knees and scrub her floor with a toothbrush in the corners. She definitely loved her apartment. She had pictures of everybody in her circle that she loved in her apartment, Workman s brother, Darius James, said. She loved being out on her own and she was definitely coming into her own. She was really on the path to be doing better things. ....
The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (PNGAS) recently announced that Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township and Morrisville High School have earned the designation of Guard Friendly High School. The association is a nonprofit organization whose sole mission is supporting the men, women and veterans of the National Guard, their spouses and families. The PNGAS Education Advisory Council developed the designation and standards to amplify high school best practices for recruiting, information sharing and group-formation in high schools for their support of the Pennsylvania National Guard. At Harry S. Truman High School, we firmly believe in developing students who are college and career-ready. With this in mind, we feel it is important to develop and maintain multiple pathways to success for our students, which includes relationships with different military branches, technical schools and the local workforce,” said Director of Counseling Rachel Zawisza. ....
