Two goals within a minute early in the first half propelled debutants Central Africa Republic (CAR) to the quarter finals of the Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations after a hard earned 2-1 victory over Tunisia’s young
Carthage Eagles at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott on Sunday.
The result saw CAR finish second in Group B with four points, same like Tunisia who came third on head to head basis.
Tunisia however squeezed through into the last eight as they are assured of finishing as one of the best two third placed teams. ....

Tunisia beat Namibia to boost quarter final hopes
Tunisia beat Namibia 2-0 at the Cheikh Ould Boidiya Stadium in Nouakchott on Thursday to boost their hopes of progressing to the knockout phases of the Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Goals in either half from Marc Martin Lamti and Hassan Ayari earned Tunisia their first win of the tournament as they moved to four points after two matches. Namibia remain with just the single point picked up after match day one from their draw against Central Africa Republic.
The Southern Africans paid the ultimate price for their missed chances and found themselves trailing by a goal at the break. ....
