Moorestown NJ Republicans want right candidate for 2021 election

MOORESTOWN  Democrats have a 5-0 majority on the Moorestown Township Council. But in the 2020 election, Republican council candidates got about 1,300 more votes than Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to Vinny Napolitano, the chairman of the Moorestown Republican Municipal Committee. Based on that math, Napolitano is confident about this year s special election for the council seat held by Democrat Quinton Law, who was appointed in January after Brian Donnelly resigned.  Napolitano has received at least eight candidate applications and is hoping to recommend someone to the 40-person Republican Committee in March. Members will then vote by majority rule on whether the candidate should represent the party this November.

(Photo courtesy of Holly Myers) MOORESTOWN, NJ Even before Moorestown Township began setting a week each year aside to recognize random acts of kindness, Holly Myers has maintained a soft spot in her heart for finding the good in the people around her. Myers, who has a background in social work and works as a psychotherapist, has long chosen to recognize the gold that she believes can be found in every person. But when she was inspired by the story of a Black Alabama attorney who went to visit a white inmate on death row to show him some kindness before he was executed, Myers wondered why exhibiting similar levels of care couldn t be put on display by her Moorestown neighbors.
