3 Students Named Winners of Artemis Moon Pod Essay Contest

NASA has named three students the winners of the Artemis Moon Pod Essay Contest for their creative visions of a pioneering journey to the Moon. Nearly 14,000 students entered the contest, each competing for the grand prize: a trip to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where they will witness the first launch of the Artemis era.
NASA invited students to envision themselves leading a crew, or “pod,” on a mission to the Moon’s South Pole, and capture these ideas in their essays. NASA and Future Engineers, an online platform for student challenges, launched the contest in September 2020 for K-12 students nationwide. The contest’s goal is to encourage the Artemis Generation – kids growing up during the era of NASA’s return to the Moon – to think ahead about the human and technological needs of a lunar expedition. What types of tools or technologies would they bring to the Moon? Who would they include in their “pod” of crewmembers? What would they ....

Laguna Beach student wins NASA essay writing for middle schoolers

Laguna Beach student Taia Saurer was named by NASA on Wednesday among three winners of the Artemis Moon Pod Essay Contest for their creative visions of a pioneering journey to the Moon.
Saurer won the fifth through eighth-grade category.
Nearly 14,000 students entered the contest, each competing for the grand prize: a trip to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center where they will witness the first launch of the Artemis rocket. All of the essay entries will fly on a USB flash drive aboard the Artemis I mission, the first step in NASA’s campaign to return astronauts to the Moon and then to Mars. ....

Nashua, N.H., March 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/  Yogibo, a leading manufacturer and retailer of high-quality lounge furniture and lifestyle accessories, on March 11, 2021, filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, against Galaxy Relaxation, LLC and its founder John Fiorentino.  Yogibo asserts infringement of patented pillows protected by United States Patents 10,098,475, asserting that defendants sell infringing pillow products under the brand Moon Pod in place of patented products designed, manufactured, and sold by Yogibo. The lawsuit seeks injunctive and monetary remedies under the Federal Patent Statute, 35 U.S.C. §§ 283, 284, and 285. ....
