Voting begins for the Republican nominee in the 7th District firehouse primary Tags: MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – Early voting for the June primary started Friday in Virginia, but on Saturday the focus will be on the 7th district. Three Republicans are facing off in a firehouse primary with the goal to replace Del. Nick Rush as he will not be seeking reelection. Sherri Blevins, Lowell Bowman and Marie March are looking to represent Floyd, Montgomery and Pulaski counties. 7th Legislative District GOP Chairman Gene Bishop said voters will also sign a “loyalty oath” to assure they vote for the party’s nominee in November. ....
