ROCKVILLE, MD Six residents will be inducted into the Montgomery County Human Rights Hall of Fame later this month.
The 11th biennial event, which honors individuals who have made great personal sacrifices to create a better county for all, will take place virtually at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27, officials said. The six residents, listed below, were nominated by their neighbors and chosen by a committee.
The public is invited to tune in late Sunday afternoon to see the ceremony, which will also include a special tribute to fallen civil rights leaders and performances by the NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics.
