MONTGOMERY – Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded grants totaling more than $473,000 to 11 agencies that serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in many counties across Alabama.
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, there were 3,867 domestic violence aggravated assaults and 32,178 domestic violence simple assaults in Alabama in 2017.
