Adam joined us last year as the special Projects Historian for our partnered program with the Defense Pow Mia Accounting Agency or dpaa. The dpaa is the federal organization whose mission is to locate and identify some 81,000 americans that are still missing in action. 72,000 of whom are from World War ii. Adam came to us from the university of ohio where he received his phd and is already making big impacts on both. Normandy that led to the eventual liberation of france and europe from nazi germany. and as we noted that when listening to those veterans themselves, now elderly, now frail, their experience of what happened 80 years ago, this is a milestone anniversary and an important one because we still have those veterans with us to share those lived experience. and it is still very fresh in their minds when you speak to these veterans. i had the privilege of speaking to veterans who fought at monte casino in italy as part of the italian campaign and one of the things you really, really understand isjust one of the things you really, really understand is just how they remember and how they remember their fallen colleagues. incredible experience. live images from normandy, a parachute drop in honour to mark, commemorate what happened 80 years ago. we will of course have special coverage on the 6th ofjune itself.
