Coloradans Helping Others Get Vaccinated While Preparing For Incoming Storm

DENVER (CBS4) – COVIDCheck Colorado team members are walking door to door in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood to get people signed up for the vaccine. They’ve partnered with the City of Denver to operate a community vaccination site at the Montbello Campus.
“It’s a lot of miles and the pedometers would tell quite a story,” said Brittany Xiu, Director of Community Engagement for COVIDCheck Colorado. “We’re really recognizing the value of having boots on the ground.”

#DisruptTexts movement says WSJ misrepresented work

There s a growing movement known as #DisruptTexts, led by educators who are seeking to promote “anti-racist/anti-bias teaching pedagogy and practices” in the classroom by creating a more inclusive language arts curriculum.
The group s work has recently been the focus of a passionate debate on social media after WSJ children s book critic and author Meghan Cox Gurdon argued in an op-ed Sunday that they are “purging and propagandizing against classic texts.”
“A sustained effort is under way to deny children access to literature. Under the slogan #DisruptTexts, critical-theory ideologues, schoolteachers and Twitter agitators are purging and propagandizing against classic texts everything from Homer to F.
