Peoria region sees lowest COVID positivity rate since July 22 
PEORIA Five COVID-19 deaths and 164 new cases were reported in Peoria by public health officials on Wednesday; however, the multi-county region that includes Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties is now reporting its lowest COVID positivity rate in about seven months. 
All five deaths were from Peoria County a man in his 60s, a woman in her 70s and a woman in her 60s, none of whom lived in long-term care facilities. The other two deaths were a woman in her 80s who lived at Cornerstone Rehabilitation & Health Care and a woman, also in her 80s, who lived at Lutheran Hillside Village. No information was provided by officials as to whether any of the victims had underlying health issues that could have contributed to their deaths.  ....

COVID-19 cases slow to trickle in Warren County

MONMOUTH More than 2,600 COVID-19 vaccine doses have now been administered in Warren County.
According to Illinois Department of Public Health data, 540 residents, or 3.17% of the population, are now fully vaccinated with both doses.
More than half of the doses thus far have been administered to residents age 65 and older, according to IDPH.
As vaccinations increase in the county, new cases of the virus have slowed to a trickle. 
Between Feb. 7 and 13, there were eight new cases of the virus confirmed in the county, according to the Warren County Health Department. ....
