The man charged with allegedly assaulting a journalist during a lockdown beach protest has been declared unfit to stand trial.  
The National Prosecuting Authority said Craig Peiser was involuntarily admitted to Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital.  
A psychiatric report found he had no criminal capacity and could not distinguish right from wrong.

Cele warns of action against 'imbalanced behaviour' by cops in dealing with rule breakers

Police Minister Bheki Cele said the police officers, who had used a water cannon on people queuing for Sassa grants in Bellville, had not acted correctly.
He criticised the police s action at a protest in Muizenberg where protesters broke lockdown regulations while calling for beaches to be reopened.
He called this an
imbalanced kind of behaviour . 
Imbalanced behaviour - this is how Police Minister Bheki Cele referred to police action when dealing with the breaking of Disaster Risk Management regulations in Cape Town.
Referring to the police using a water cannon on people queuing for Sassa grants in Bellville in January after instructing them to socially distance, Cele said police management had not acted correctly in dealing with the incident. ....
