The city of Albuquerque is in the midst of a half-million-dollar recruitment campaign, hoping to lure new and former residents to New Mexico’s largest city. Targeted primarily at people living in large American metropolitan areas, the economic development effort highlights what many have long touted as the city’s best assets: Clean air. Open space. Diversity. Sunshine. Inexpensive housing.
“Let’s talk about cost of living. It’s lower here,” reads the digital, city-funded Home for Life recruitment campaign. “In Albuquerque, your dream space is waiting for you – and you can actually afford it.” ....

It’s hard not to worry about climate change when the weather jumps from warm and sunny, to cold and snowy, every other day here in Binghamton. If you want to start taking individual actions to help the environment, it can feel overwhelming to learn how to reduce your carbon footprint due to the excess of information on the internet. HB206 Aimed At Helping Thousands Behind On Utility Bills In New Mexico Introduced At 2021 Legislative Session
STATE News:
SANTA FE Representatives Kristina Ortez (D-42), Andrea Romero (D-46) and Joanne Ferrary (D-37) introduced legislation Friday aimed at helping thousands of New Mexico families who have fallen behind on paying their utility bills during the COVID–19 pandemic.
House Bill 206 gives much-needed relief to New Mexicans impacted by COVID who have been unable to stay current on their electric, natural gas and water bills.
The bill combines federal funding, philanthropic donations, reallocation of utility company fees and other sources to provide this arrears forgiveness to qualified customers who enter into up to 24-month payment plans with the utility. For each dollar paid by the customer, an additional dollar will be provided as a permanent credit on their account. There is also a hardship clause allowing additional assistance for New Mexicans who ....
