Dangerous Worcester Public Schools Sex-Ed Curriculum Proposal

Location: Worcester, MA The Worcester School Committee’s Standing Committee on Teaching, Learning and Student Supports will hold its next meeting on a proposed Sex Education curriculum for the Worcester Public Schools on Monday, April 26 at 5:30 pm. The Zoom information for this meeting has not been posted, but you may obtain the link for the meeting by calling the School Committee Office at (508) 799-3032. Proposals for the curriculum contain very explicit and age inappropriate information beginning in Kindergarten. Worcesteria: John L. Foley not running for re-election to School Committee Worcester Magazine SCHOOL S OUT: Next year, Worcester is looking at having a potentially transformed School Committee. First, longtime committee member John F. Monfredo announced he wasn t running for re-election. Now, John L. Foley confided in a phone conversation that he ll be retiring at the end of his current term, “I think its time,” said Foley. “It s been a long time I ve served the School Committee. It s time for other people to represent the community. Twenty-two years is a long time.” While Foley still has most of a year left in his term, the move puts a new spotlight on the School Committee race.
