Police arrest 5 suspects for multiple abduction, abuse of women, 2 for int'l child pornography

The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has said that the action plan being implemented by the Force to curb Sexual and Gender Based Violence, particularly all forms of abuse on women and children in the country, is yielding positive results.
The IGP made the affirmation following the arrest of five (5) members of a kidnap for ransom gang which specializes in the abduction of women and the girl child, sexually abusing them and obtaining ransom from their families before their release.
A statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba said-The five (5) suspects were arrested by operatives of the Intelligence Response Team following massive manhunt by the Force for the perpetrators of the recent trend of abduction of women in some States in the South-South part of the country, especially Port Harcourt and its environs. The victims are subjected to series of sexual abuses and ransom demanded from their families before their release. ....

Two suspects engaged in international child pornography have been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Interpol National Central Bureau, Abuja.
The suspects based in Kano are identified as Ibrahim Muazzam Mohammad Aminu and Mohammad Tahir Umar.
Both men are accused of taking advantage of underage girls whom they sexually abuse, make video recordings of the act and share on an international social media Whatsapp group chat known as “Pervertidos”, owned and managed by a Brazilian called Adriana.

Two men, Ibrahim Mohammad Aminu and Mohammad Tahir Umar, have been arrested in Kano by operatives of the Interpol National Central Bureau, Nigeria Police Force, for allegedly using underage girls for child pornography in the state.
The spokesman of the state police command, DSP Haruna Abdullahi, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, said the two suspects took advantage of underage girls in the state by sexually abusing them, making video recordings of the acts and sharing them on a Whatsapp chat group.
Abdullahi said the arrest of the two men was made possible following intelligence received from their counterparts in Brasilia, Brazil. ....
