Representative image GUWAHATI: Troops of 6 battalion of the BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended a Bangladeshi with Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) racketeer along with notes of Rs 19,000 denomination. A BSF spokesman said on acting on tip-off, on April 30, the BSF troops of Border outpost (BOP) carried out a special operation in the general area of village Mandolpara close to Indo-Bangladesh border and apprehended the Bangladeshi man. The spokesman said the arrested Bangladeshi national was trying to smuggle the consignment of fake notes from Bangladesh to India. The person has been identified as 22-year-old Mohammad Rashidul Islam (22) of Satkurbari village in Kurigram district of Bangladesh.
