Moreover, two separate requests have been sent to the Interior Ministry and the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for constitution of a judicial commission to probe the incident. The dismissal orders were issued from the office of the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Islamabad, which is being looked after by Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Waqaruddin Syed since 2019. ....

Issued from the office of the Islamabad senior superintendent of police, the orders said that Sub-Inspector Iftikhar, Constable Mustafa, Shakeel, Mudassar, and Saeed had been on duty on Jan. 2 when the incident occurred. The notification said they had chased a white car at around 1 a.m., opening indiscriminate fire on it that resulted in the death of Satti. ....
ISLAMABAD: A bridegroom and 11 other people were arrested and booked under different sections of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) as well as the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for opening fire into the air. Officials from Bhara Kahu and Banigala police cordoned off the venue of the marriage at Dhoke Jilani near Banigala and arrested 12 people, including the bridegroom. They were shifted to the Bhara Kahu police station and a case was registered against them under 7-ATA along with section 337H, 148, 149 and 188 of the PPC. A source in the police told Dawn that it was a case of violation of Section 144 as aerial firing is banned in the capital and over such an incident a case is registered under section 188 of the PPC. ....
