KHARTOUM (Reuters) - United Nations and African Union-sponsored talks aiming to restore political order in post-coup Sudan began on Wednesday with military leaders at the table and the main civilian groups boycotting.
"We don't have much time, and we've seen in the last four months the deterioration of the security, political and economic situation," said, Volker Perthes, the U.N. Special Representative for Sudan.
